Mentha oil remains up on tight supply

A firm spot market trend supported the trade

The Mentha oil futures for February rose by Rs 4.20, or 0.29%,  to Rs 1,444.80 per kg in 25 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange today.

Tight supplies from Chandousi in UP influenced its prices.

The January contract traded higher by Rs 3.50, or 0.25% to Rs 1,429.80 per kg in 290 lots.

Analysts said speculators enlarging their positions and a firm spot market trend also put pressure on the mentha oil futures.
