Mentha oil remains weak on higher supply, weak export

The fall in mentha prices at futures market was mostly attributed to profit-booking by speculators at higher levels and a subdued demand at spot markets

Amid profit-booking by speculators and subdued spot demand, mentha oil prices fell further by 19.50 to Rs 1,350.10 per kg in futures trade today.

At the MCX, the June delivery fell by Rs 19.50, or 1.42%, to Rs 1,350.10 per kg, with a business volume of 56 lots.

The May delivery traded Rs 19.50, or 1.31%, lower at Rs 1,462 per kg, with a trading volume of 240 lots.

Traders said the fall in mentha prices at futures market was mostly attributed to profit-booking by speculators at higher levels and a subdued demand at spot markets.
