Mentha oil rises by 1.1% on strong industrial demand

A firming trend at the spot markets on rising demand influenced mentha oil prices

Mentha oil prices rose by 1.09% to Rs 922 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in creating positions on account of good demand from consuming industries and lower arrivals.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August rose by Rs 10, or 1.09%, to Rs 922 per kg with a trading volume of 534 lots.
 
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September higher by Rs 9.20, or 0.99%, to Rs 934.20 per kg, with a business turnover of 65 lots.
 
Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets on rising demand against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
