Mentha oil up 0.2% as demand picks up

oil for delivery in February moved up by 0.20%

Supported by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mentha oil traded higher for the third straight session by adding Rs 0.24% to Rs 848.60 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.24%, to Rs 848.60 per kg in business turnover of 62 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in February moved up by Rs 1.70, or 0.20%, to Rs 859.50 per kg in 8 lots.

Analysts said besides pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, also influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
