Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid rising domestic as well as export demand, mentha oil prices rose further by 0.27% to Rs 777.90 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in February rose further by Rs 2.10, or 0.27%, to Rs 777.90 per kg in business turnover of 162 lots.

Similarly, oil for delivery in March gained Rs 1.60, or 0.20%, to Rs 787.90 per kg in 46 lots.

Analysts said besides rising domestic and export demand in the spot market, restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh led to rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
