Mentha oil up 0.2% on spot demand

Tight stocks availability in the physical market due to less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also supported the uptrend

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid rising domestic as well as export demand, mentha oil prices rose by 0.21% to Rs 848.40 per kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged positions.

Tight stocks availability in the physical market due to less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also supported the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in February moved up by Rs 1.80, or 0.21% to Rs 848.40 per kg in business turnover of 26 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in January traded higher by Rs 1.70, or 0.20% to Rs 836.60 per kg in 166 lots.

Analysts said besides good domestic and export demand in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly attributed rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
