Mentha oil up 0.4% on spot demand

Oil for delivery in April edged up by 0.39%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil futures prices today rose Rs 4.20 to Rs 864 per kg as traders created fresh positions, driven by a pick-up domestic and export demand in spot market.

Besides, limited arrivals from producing areas also supported the upside in mentha oil futures prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March gained Rs 4.20, or 0.48%, to Rs 864 per kg, with a trading volume of 246 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April edged up by Rs 3.50, or 0.39%, to Rs 879 per kg, with a business turnover of 68 lots.

Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets amid restricted supply from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
