Mentha oil up 0.43% on tight supply

Fresh positions by speculators supported the trade

Mentha oil futures for February rose by Rs 5.80, or 0.43%, to Rs 1,345.20 per kg in 178 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the January contract traded higher by Rs 4.80, or 0.36%, to Rs 1,330.30 per kg in 689 lots.

Fresh positions by speculators, a firm spot market trend and pick-up in demand from industries supported the trade.

Less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh helped the uptrend.
