Mentha oil for delivery in September rose by 0.56%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices rose by 0.67% to Rs 893.50 per kg in futures trade today after traders enlarged positions amid rising industrial demand at spot market.

Besides, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October gained Rs 6, or 0.67%, to Rs 893.50 per kg, with a trading volume of 242 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September rose by Rs 4.90, or 0.56%, to Rs 878 per kg, with a business turnover of 284 lots.

Marketmen said fresh positions built-up by speculators driven by rising spot demand amid lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly pushed up mentha oil prices at futures trade.
