Oil for delivery in June moved up by 0.79%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices recovered by 0.84% to Rs 830.70 per kg in futures market today as speculators created positions at existing levels amid rising spot demand from consuming industries.

Besides, tight stocks position following less arrivals from producing centres also supported the prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July rose by Rs 6.90, or 0.84%, to Rs 830.70 per kg in a business turnover of 43 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in June moved up by Rs 6.40, or 0.79%, to Rs 819.10 per kg in 321 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators, after demand from consuming industries picked up in spot market, mainly led to the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
