Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil futures prices today shot up by 1.16% to Rs 904 per kg as traders created fresh positions, driven by pick-up in demand in spot market.

Increasing demand from exports and limited supplies from the producing areas also influenced mentha oil prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October gained Rs 10.40, or 1.16%, to Rs 904 per kg, with a trading volume of 71 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September edged up by Rs 10.30, or 1.16%, to Rs 891.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 327 lots.

Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets amid restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
