Mentha oil up 1.5% on pick up in spot demand

Prices moved up as traders created fresh positions

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil futures for March gained Rs 19.20, or 1.49%, to Rs 1,304 per kg in 278 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the February contract edged up by Rs 13.50, or 0.94%, to Rs 1,440.20 per kg in 615 lots.

Prices moved up as traders created fresh positions, driven by pick-up in spot market demand.

Increasing demand from exports and limited supply from the producing areas also boosted the mentha oil futures trade.
