Mentha oil up by 0.7% on spot demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid strong domestic demand and restricted supplies from growing belts, mentha oil prices traded higher by 0.66% to Rs 881 per kg in futures trading today.

In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November was trading higher by Rs 5.80, or 0.66%, to Rs 881 per kg, in a business turnover of 78 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in October gained Rs 5.50, or 0.64%, to Rs 869.50 per kg in 412 lots.

Analysts said strong demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
