Mentha oil up more than 1% on strong spot demand

Prices went up as traders created fresh positions

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil futures for April gained Rs 13.90, or 1.23%, to Rs 1,143.10 per kg in 189 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract edged up by Rs 12.80, or 1.13%, to Rs 1,137.60 per kg in 634 lots.

Prices went up as traders created fresh positions, driven by pick-up in spot market demand.

Rising demand from exports supported the upside.

Restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, mainly influenced mentha oil futures trade here.
