Menthol declines on sluggish demand

Menthol prices fell by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today on the back of sluggish demand from consuming units.

Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also kept pressure on the prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 1,330, Rs 1,310 and Rs 1,260 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets put pressure on the menthol prices.
