Menthol remains weak on fall in demand

Menthol prices fell further by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units.

Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also put pressure on the prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 1,435, Rs 1,355 and Rs 1,295 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets mainly put pressure on the menthol prices.
