Menthol remains weak on sluggish demand

Menthol prices fell further by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of sluggish demand from consuming units.

Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also kept pressure on the prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,400, Rs 1,360 and Rs 1,300 per kg, respectively.

Market analysts said reduced offtake by consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets mainly put pressure on the menthol prices.
