Supported by pick-up in buying activity by pharma and other consuming industries, menthol prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today.
Menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices rose by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 1,385, Rs 1,315 and Rs 1,215 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said apart from fresh demand from pharma and other consuming industries, restricted arrivals from producing belts also pushed up menthol prices in the wholesale chemical market here.
