Menthol up on increased demand

Menthol prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the local chemical in the national capital today on increased industrial demand. Elsewhere, other chemicals traded in a narrow range in restricted buying activity and settled around previous levels.  

Market analysts said increased industrial demand helped menthol to trade higher.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and oil prices rose by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,155, Rs 1,105 and Rs 1,025 per kg, respectively.
