Mutual funds have ended the first six months of the current fiscal with net inflows of Rs 5,644 crore and gross mobilisation of Rs 1,24,852 crore.
However, redemptions have been pretty high at Rs 1,19,208 crore. During September alone, sales (or inflows) were to the tune of Rs 24,417 crore. Of this, as much as Rs 14,540 crore were through liquid and money market schemes, while income schemes managed to collect Rs 9,164 crore.
Liquid schemes also saw the maximum redemptions at Rs 14,360 crore during the month followed by income schemes at Rs 8,620 crore taking the total redemption figure for the entire sector at Rs 23,777 crore.
