Mfs Turn Cold To Indian Ads/ Gdrs

The American depositary shares (ADS) and global depository receipts (GDRs) of Indian companies has hardly found any favour with Indian mutual funds (MFs).

In the last two years since the finance ministry allowed Indian MFs to invest in GDRs and ADS (American Depository Shares) of Indian companies, there has been an investment of just Rs 17-odd crore and that too by a lone fund, Kothari Pioneer Mutual Fund!
