Mid-cap buying bolsters delivery volumes

 Delivery trades accounted for 33.56 per cent of the total traded volumes compared with 30.59 per cent in October 2003.

 Delivery volumes of 150 small and mid-cap stocks increased in excess of over 100 per cent each over delivery volumes in October. As many as 78 stocks saw delivery volumes rising between 50 per cent and 100 per cent.

 On the contrary, delivery volumes remained dull in Sensex and S&P CNX Nifty scrips. Deliveries in Sensex scrips was down to 21.26 per cent in November from 22.66 per cent in October, while the Nifty witnessed delivery volumes of 21.23 per cent compared with 20.66 per cent.

 Among small and mid-cap stocks, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) witnessed hectic trading in November with delivery volumes of 73.22 million shares, up from 14.02 million shares in October.
