Mid-cap, Small-cap indices tumble 7.5%

The Sensex is now down 395 points at 9361.

The BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices are down 7.5% each at 3999 and 4861, respectively.

HDFC Bank has slumped almost 10% to Rs 650. Reliance Energy has tumbled 7.7% to Rs 373, and Tata Power has shed 6.5% at Rs 432.

HLL is down 5.8% at Rs 207, and Bajaj Auto has declined 5.3% to Rs 2,400.

Out of a total of 2,350 stocks traded so far, 2,159 have declined, 160 have advanced and 31 are unchanged.
