Mild gains

DOMESTIC REVIEW/ NON-FERROUS METALS

Non-ferrous metals witnessed moderate gains in the domestic market following the trend in the London Metals Exchange (LME).

Nickel saw the largest rise in the domestic market of Rs 20. Tin declined sharply midweek, before recovering.

Nickel cathodes closed at Rs 765 per kilogram, up from last Monday's Rs 745. Copper wire bars closed at Rs 185 from last week's Rs 184. Copper heavy scraps closed at Rs 154 from last week's Rs 153.

Copper utensil scraps closed at Rs 138 from Rs 136 last week. Brass utensil scraps closed at Rs 108, unchanged from last week.
