Shares of MindTree were trading higher by 2% at Rs 1,531 on the BSE in an otherwise weak market after the company announced plan to issue bonus shares.
“A meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on January 18, 2016, to consider a proposal for declaring / recommending issue of bonus shares,” MindTree said in a BSE filing.
The board will also consider the audited financial results of the company for the third quarter and nine months ending December 31, 2015 and also to consider the declaration of interim dividend, if any, amongst other matters, it added.
At 09:57 a.m. the stock was up 1.8% at Rs 1,525, recovering 3.4% from intra-day low of Rs 1,481 on the BSE after Infosys announced a better than expected results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015.
A combined 164,759 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE so far.
