Minister For Power Reforms In Agriculture

Maintaining that only a part of the power supplied to rural areas is actually consumed by farmers, agriculture minister Ajit Singh has said that the power subsidy was benefitting largely non-farmers. He also called for urgent reforms in the power supply for agriculture.

He said though the agricultural power consumption was estimated at 30 per cent of the country
