The stocks of companies engaged in the production of hot beverages like coffee and tea had a mixed run in the last three months on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Most stocks witnessed modest gains, barring a few exceptions.
 
Shares of Tata Coffee rose from Rs 126.10 on April 1, to today's close of Rs 130.00, up 3.09 per cent on the BSE.
 
During the same period the stock price of Tata Tea increased from Rs 340.15 to Rs 367.15 up 7.9 per cent and Assam Co gained from Rs 20.90 to Rs 24.00, up 14.83 per cent.
 
The stocks of Warren Tea increased from Rs 44.05 to Rs 50.25, up 14.07 per cent and B & A Ltd moved up from Rs 9.03 to Rs 13.84, up 53.26 per cent.
 
Asian Tea rose from Rs 3.53 to Rs 4.00, up 13.31 per cent and Williamson Tea moved from Rs 82.25 to Rs 88.55, up 7.65 per cent. However, Assambrook fell from Rs 15.73 to Rs 14.36, a minor drop of 8.7 per cent and Bombay Burmah closed at Rs 53.00 from Rs 54.70, down by 3.10 per cent.
 
The share price of Sterling Biotech declined from Rs 143.40 to 118.45, down 17.39 per cent, and Tyroon Tea closed minorly lower from 4.30 at Rs 4.25, a fall of 1.16 per cent. CCL Products closed at Rs 61.35 down 18.2 per cent from Rs 75.00.
