Prices of tin, aluminium, copper utensils and brass moved up in an otherwise mixed non-ferrous metal market here today due to increased demand from industrial users.

Prices of copper scrap heavy, brass sheets cutting and zinc edged down owing to lack of industrial support.

Tin prices rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,040 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 1,035 and aluminium ingots gained by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 122 against the previous rate of Rs 118.

Copper utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap both moved up by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 350 and Rs 94. Brass utensils scrap also ended slightly higher by a rupee per kilo to Rs 260.

However, copper scrap heavy fell by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 376 from 378. Brass sheets cutting and zinc softened by a rupee per kilo to Rs 267 and Rs 118 respectively.
