Base metals displayed a mixed pattern of trading at the non-ferrous metal market here today as prices of aluminium, tin, zinc and select copper declined due to reduced industrial demand amid lower global advices.
Meanwhile, nickel, brass, copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and copper armiture edged higher on increased offtake from consuming industries.
Aluuminium ingots dropped by Rs 6 per kilo to Rs 117 from yesterday closing levels of Rs 123 and tin fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 965 as against Rs 970 previously. Aluminium utensils scrap moved down by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 92 from Rs 95.
Zinc, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap and copper sheet cuttings softened by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 123, Rs 357, Rs 335 and Rs 352, respectively. However, nickel rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,140 from Rs 1,135 yesterday.
Brass sheets cutting, copper cable scrap and copper wire bar advanced by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 265, Rs 365 and Rs 393, respectively. Copper armiture inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 354.
