In fairly active trade, a mixed trend was noticed on the non-ferrous metal market here today.

Tin, nickel, copper cable, copper wire bar, copper scrap heavy and copper utensils firmed up due to fresh buying from stockists coupled with good industrial support.

Meanwhile, copper sheets cutting, copper armiture, brass and aluminium declined owing to lack of demand from industrial users.

Tin rose by Rs 8 per kilo to Rs 1,005 from last weekend's level of Rs 997 and nickel moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 1,070, as against Rs 1,067 previously.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar gained by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 372 and Rs 400, respectively. Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap also inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 366 and Rs 342, respectively.

However, copper sheets cutting fell by Rs 6 per kilo to Rs 352 from Rs 358 previously. Copper armiture, brass utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap also ended lower by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 358, Rs 255 and Rs 88, respectively.
