Mixed week post-Presidential poll action awaited

It has been a mixed week for the markets. The Sensex touched a four-month high on Tuesday, only to witness profit booking at higher levels after Infosys sharply cut its FY13 dollar revenue expectation. On the global front, it had been an eventful week, with the Euro zone finance chiefs ratifying a deal to rescue Spanish lenders. However, US jobs data and cooling inflation in China exacerbated worries about sluggish global economic growth.

All four fund managers of Smart Portfolios Season 4 felt government action after the Presidential election would be the key mover for markets in the coming days. Three of the four remained active in the week to July 12.
