Moong, its dal up on retailers demand

In restricted activity, moong and its dal prices rose up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on rising demand from retailers against limited arrivals.

Elsewhere, other commodities continued to traded in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and and settled around previous levels.

Increased demand from retailers against restricted arrivals mainly pushed up wholesale moong and its dal prices.

In the national capital, moong gained Rs 50 to Rs 4,200- -4,600, while its dal chilka local, dal dhoya local and best quality were enquired higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,250-5,650, Rs 5,500-5,700 and Rs 6,000-6,200 per quintal, respectively.

Urad 4,200-4,750, Urad chilka (local) 5,000-5,400, best 5,450-5,750, Dhoya 5,600-5,700, Moong 4,200-4,600, Dal moong chilka local 5,250-5,650, Moong Dhoya local 5,500-5,700 and best quality 6,000-6,200

Masoor small 3,400-3,600, bold 3,550-3,800, Dal Masoor local 4,150-4,250, best quality 4,400-4,700, Malka local 4,050-4,100, best 4,200-4,300, Moth 3,100-3,400, Arhar 4,050-4,150, dal arhar dara 5,400-5,800

Gram 2,700-2,725, gram dal(local) 2,950-2,965, best quality 3,050-3,150, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,190, Rajdhani 1,190, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,300-3,900, China 3,400-3,900, red 3,400-3,500
