Moong, its dal up on retailers demand

Barring a rise in moong and its dal, prices ruled steady in the wholesale pulses market today.

Traders said scattered demand from retailers mainly helped moong and its dal prices to move up.

In the national capital, moong rose by Rs 25 to Rs 4,025-5,025, while its dal chilka local, moong dal dhoya local and best quality moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,050-5,450, Rs 5,350-5,550 and Rs 5,950-6,150 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 3,950-4,350, Urad chilka (local) 4,850-5,250, best 5,350-5,850, Dhoya 5,300-5,400, Moong 4,025-5,025, Dal moong chilka local 5,050-5,450, Moong Dhoya local 5,350-5,550 and best quality 5,950-6,150

 

Masoor small 3,000-3,200, bold 3,150-3,400, Dal Masoor local 3,550-3,650, best quality 3,850-4,150, Malka local 3,500-3,550, best 3,650-3,750, Moth 1,900-2,200, Arhar 3,300-3,800, dal arhar dara 4,850-5,250
