Moong, rajmah chitra dip on increased supply

Moong and rajmah chitra prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on increased supplies against subdued demand.

Marketmen said increased supply in the market against sluggish demand at the existing higher levels pulled down the wholesale pulses prices.

Meanwhile, state-owned trading agency PEC invited bids to import 13,000 tonnes of pulses of various varieties.

In the national capital, moong Maharashtra and its dal chilka local remained under selling and drifted further by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,200-6,500 and Rs 6,800-7,200, while dhoya local and best quality traded lower by the same margin at Rs 6,900-7,100 and Rs 7,500-7,700 per quintal.

 

Rajmah chitra (Pune) and (China) also lacked necessary buying support and lost Rs 100 each to Rs 3,300-3,900 and Rs 3,400-3,900 per quintal.
