Moong rises on local buying

In an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today, moong and its dal prices rose up to Rs 100 per quintal on local buying.

Other commodities continued to trade in a tight range in restricted buying activity and settled around previous levels.

Traders said fresh local buying, amid fall in arrivals pushed up wholesale moong and its dal prices.

Moong and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 4,000-4,400 and Rs 4,850-5,250, while dal dhoya local and best quality were enquired higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,100-5,300 and Rs 5,600-5,800 per quintal.
