Morgan Mauritius sells shares worth Rs 872 cr

Morgan Stanley Mauritius has sold shares worth Rs 872 crore through block deals on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today. The provisional figures provided by BSE and the National Stock Exchange show foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers of shares worth Rs 1064 crore, indicating that 82 per cent of the net sell was initiated by the company.

Morgan Stanley has offloaded the equity shares of Educomp Solutions, Pantaloon Retail, Gujarat NRE Coke, Jindal Saw, Opto Circuit, Subhash Projects and United Sprits through block deals. It offloaded its entire holding of 2.55 million shares of United Spirits to Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius for total consideration of Rs 339 crore.
