Moth declines on sluggish demand

In an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market, moth declined by Rs 100 per quintal on subdued demand.  

Traders said adequate stocks against subdued demand from retailers and stockists led to decline in moth prices.

Moth prices declined by Rs 100 to Rs 4,100-4,400 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 3,700-4,250, Urad chilka (local) 4,500-4,900, best 5,000-5,300, Dhoya 5,200-5,300, Moong 3,800-4,200, Dal moong chilka local 4,650-5,050, Moong Dhoya local 5,300-5,500 and best quality 5,800-6,000

Masoor small 2,850-3,050, bold 3,050-3,300, Dal Masoor local 3,650-3,750, best quality 3,900-4,200, Malka local 3,800-3,850, best 3,950-4,050, Moth 4,100-4,400, Arhar 3,600-3,700, dal arhar dara 4,600-5,000

 

Gram 2,350-2,375, gram dal (local) 2,625-2,650, best quality 2,700-2,800, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,050, Rajdhani 1,050, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,500-4,100, China 3,600-4,100, red 3,500-3,600
