The stock touched a low of Rs 273 and finally ended up 4% at Rs 285. Around 518,726 shares were traded on teh counter today.

Mphasis has soared 6% in early trades on the back of a three-fold jump in net profit.
The stock today opened at Rs 278 and then surged to a high of Rs 292. The stock is currently trading at Rs 290, up 6% . The stock has clocked a volume of 53,704 shares so far on the BSE.
According to a release issued by the Mphasis to the BSE, the group's net profit has zoomed 219% to Rs 224.50 crore for the quarter ended April 2009 as against Rs 70.3 in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total income has surged 52% to Rs 1,048.5 crore from Rs 688.4 crore.
