Mphasis has rallied 14% to Rs 475, its highest level since July 2014 on the BSE, after reported 18.2% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 185 crore for the quarter ended September 2015, on back of strong operational performance. The company had profit of Rs 156 crore in June 2015 quarter.
Net sales grew 4% QoQ at Rs 1,557 crore, while total expenditure rose 2.6% at Rs 1,341 crore on sequential basis.
Analysts on an average had expected profit of Rs 182 crore on revenues of Rs 1,535 crore.

Operating margin increased by 120 bps to 13.9%. Net margin improved 140 bps to 11.9%, Mphasis said in a press release.
The company recorded a strong revenue growth in Direct International at 7.9% QoQ. Robust deal wins in Direct International business with $ 90 million TCV, it added.
