<b>MUMBAI DAY AFTER: Sensex up 54pts </b>

The Sensex is now up 54 points at 10,668.

Infosys has surged over 5% to Rs 3,314. TCS has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 1,819. Satyam and Wipro have advanced over 1.5% each to Rs 732 and Rs 503, respectively.

Hindalco has spurted over 2% to Rs 172. Reliance has added 1.5% to Rs 1,064.

HDFC has slipped 2.5% to Rs 1,168. Bajaj Auto has declined 2% to Rs 2,715.

Reliance Energy, HDFC Bank, Maruti, HLL and NTPC are down over 1.5% each at Rs 446, Rs 749, Rs 775, Rs 232 and Rs 115, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 1,792 stocks traded so far, 1,249 have declined, 502 have advanced and 41 are unchanged.
