<b>MUMBAI DAY AFTER: Sensex up 78pts </b>

The Sensex is now up 78 points at 10,692.

Infosys has surged nearly 6% to Rs 3,336. TCS has rallied over 3% to Rs 1,826. Satyam and Wipro have advanced around 2% each to Rs 733 and Rs 507, respectively.

Hindalco has gained 2.5% to Rs 172. Larsen & Toubro has added 2% to Rs 2,212. Reliance is up 1.7% at Rs 1,066.

HDFC and Reliance Energy have slipped 2% each to Rs 1,176 and Rs 445, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, NTPC, HLL and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 1,858 stocks traded so far, 1,216 have declined, 591 have advanced and 51 are unchanged.
