In restricted activity, mustard oil prices moved up by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on fresh buying by local parties.
Elsewhere, other edible and non-edible oils after moving in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels. Traders said fresh buying by local parties, helped mustard oil prices to rise at the wholesale market here.
Meanwhile, the state-owned trading agency PEC has floated a tender inviting bids to import 1,500 tonnes of crude degummed soyabean oil.
In the edible section, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 4,800 per quintal, while mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils traded higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 675-830 and Rs 830-930 per tin of 15 litres.
