Mustard and sesame oil prices softened by Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today, on slackened demand at prevailing higher levels.
On the other hand, non-edible oils remained stable on restricted buying activity by consuming industries. Traders said sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels mainly led to the decline in mustard and sesame oil prices.
They added activity remained restricted due to absence of enquiries from neighbouring states. In the national capital, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) lost Rs 20 to Rs 6,030 per quintal.
Sesame mill delivery oil also traded lower by the same margin to Rs 6,390 per quintal.
