Mustardseed futures prices declined by Rs 33 to Rs 3,114 per quintal today, following aggressive selling by traders, guided by weak cues overseas.
Traders said fall in soybean prices in international markets, mainly affected mustardseed futures prices here.
Increased supply and reduced offtake in physical markets, too, dampened trading sentiments.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for December delivery slipped by Rs 33, or 1.05%, to Rs 3,114 per quintal, with an open interest of 88,580 lots.
Prices for January contract also showed a fall of Rs 32, or 1%, to Rs 3,162 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 74,020 lots.
