Mustardseed prices continued to rise and added Rs 1.60, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 522.80 per 20 kg in futures trade today on sustained buying by traders at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, mustardseed prices for September-contract rose by Rs 1.60, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 522.80 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 230 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in June-contract gained Rs 1.15, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 506.95 per 20 kg, with a business volume of 1,15,700 lots.
Marketmen said sustained buying by traders on pick up in demand at the spot market pushed up mustardseed prices at futures trade.
