Nagarjuna Construction jumps up on NHAI order

Nagarjuna Construction surged on winning a large order. The stock in today's subdued market was up over 3 per cent in intra-day before ending marginally lower at Rs 1,122.30.
 
The stock had hit a new 52-week high of Rs 1,172 in intra-day trades today with volumes accounting for more than 44 thousand shares on BSE.
 
Nagarjuna Construction today announced that it secured two new major orders aggregating Rs 414 crore.
 
These orders include a project valued at Rs 266 crore from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for construction of national highway project on NH-28 from Lucknow to Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
 
Another project amounts to Rs 148 crore for rural electrification under "Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikiran Yojana" on turnkey basis in Uttar Pradesh.
