Nagarjuna strengthens on Rs 253 cr order from NHAI

Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) was up 2.90 per cent to Rs 230.70 as compared to its previous close of Rs 224.20 after the company announced that it had secured an order worth Rs 253 crore from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
 
Earlier this month, the company received an order from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board worth Rs 177 crore for execution of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project.
 
For the quarter ended June 2005, NCC's net profit jumped by 88.8 per cent to Rs 19.17 crore from Rs 10.15 crore in Q1 June 2004.
