Naina Lal Kidwai To Join Hsbc

HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India) Pvt Ltd has appointed Naina Lal Kidwai as its vice-chairman and managing director, and head of the group's investment banking division in India.

Though the date of joining has not been announced, the HSBC spokesperson said that, "She will join shortly."

Kidwai joins the HSBC group from JM Morgan Stanley where she is currently vice chairman and head of investment banking business.

An MBA from Harvard Business School, she has over 20 years experience in the industry with ANZ Grindlays Bank, Morgan Stanley and JM Morgan Stanley.

HSBC is expanding its investment banking activities in the country to cater to the corporate finance and securities market, an HSBC release said here today.

 

Kidwai would also head HSBC group's investment banking business in India, it said.

The company is a broking member of the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange, and is also active in privatisation of public sector undertakings, the release said.
