Nasdaq rallies 40pts; ADRs shine

Wall Street indices ended firm on Thursday led by gains in the technology sector. The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 38 points to 13,246. The Nasdaq surged 40 points to 2641.

Indian ADRs, too, ended on a firm note. Infosys zoomed over 5.5% to $44.41. Genpact and Tata Motors surged over 5% each to $14.98 and $18.29, respectively.

Satyam gained 4.3% to $26.43, and Patni Computers rallied 3.6% to $16.35. Wipro advanced over 3% to $14.57.

VSNL, however, plunged over 5% to $34.49, and MTNL shed 2.5% at $9.10.
