Nasdaq rallies; Indian ADRs dazzle

The Wall Street ended higher backed by a bullish sentiment in the technology sector. The Dow gained 60 points at 11,054, and the Nasdaq surged 33 points to 2315. The US crude oil futures for April delivery rose 56 cents to settle at $61.97 a barrel on the NYMEX.

Following a 241-point fall yesterday the Nikkei today has bounced back and is now up 49 points at 16,013. The Hang Seng has added 89 points at 15,906.

The Indian ADRs ended with significant gains. ICICI Bank zoomed over 5% to $32.26, and HDFC Bank rallied 3.4% to $54.99. Satyam soared nearly 4% to $42.73. While Infosys added 2.2% to $72.34, Wipro was up 1.7% at $14.12. VSNL spurted 1.8% to $16.45.
